Arjun Tendulkar sends England's Jonny Bairstow hobbling out of nets at Lord's

England were dealt an injury scare ahead of the first Test against South Africa after Jonny Bairstow suffered an unexpected knock on Wednesday. Sad for Bairstow, though, He couldn't get some much-needed practice and had to leave the nets after facing just one ball.

According to a report in the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old was pinned on the foot by a yorker from Arjun and hobbled out of the nets. Though Bairstow's participation was not affected, he certainly needed some medical attention. Bairstow was seen nursing a swollen foot and briefly placed it in a compression unit to ease the pain ahead of the first Test starting on Thursday.

Fortunately, the injury was not very serious in nature. Arjun Tendulkar, son of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, is now playing in the under-16 level and the youngster seems to be improving at a rapid pace.

Arjun is a regular at the Lord's because Sachin owns a property near the iconic Lord's ground.

It's been four years since Sachin Tendulkar hung up his boots, but a Tendulkar is still troubling the England cricket team.

Arjun has also played the under 14 and under 16 tournaments for the Mumbai team.

England is led by Joe Root, who took the captaincy reins from Alastair Cook earlier this year while Dean Elgar will lead South Africa in the absence of Faf du Plessis.
