Liam Gallagher slams brother over tribute gig no-show

There had been rumors afoot for days that Liam and his brother Noel Gallagher might reunite Oasis for an appearance at the One Love Manchester show, Manchester being their hometown. Liam performed a rendition of Oasis" hit single "Rock "n" Roll Star", plus his debut solo single "Wall of Glass", before being joined by Coldplay's Chris Martin for Oasis track "Live Forever'.

As his brother was absent, Liam instead performed with music rival Chris Martin from Coldplay. Ariana Grande and Coldplay covered the tune during the benefit concert.

"Thank you @noelgallagher for giving your blessing and encouragement to play don't look back in anger and live forever on sunday", the singer tweeted from the band's official account.

He followed this up with another tweet: "Noels out of the f**king country weren't we all love", Liam said about his brother not being there.

What was your favorite moment from the show?

Venting his anger on Twitter, Liam wrote: 'Manchester I'd like to apologise for my brother's absence last night very disappointed stay handsome stay safe LG X'. "I'm not putting the blame on him but he's the one who doesn't want it.", he proclaimed before adding, "I don't hold grudges, you know what I mean?"

Regarding the concert from Sunday night, the British Red Cross announced that they have been able to raise nearly $3 million during the show.

Since Noel left the band in 2009 the brothers haven't spoken, but Liam baits him regularly on Twitter.

Asked by writer Ian Rankin what he would be doing if he and Noel had not formed Oasis back in the 1990s, Liam said he probably would not have got a "proper job". "He's part of the establishment", he told a crowd.

The audience and viewers at home were then told by the commentators, Sara Cox and Ore Oduba, to expect a surprise, followed by a few minutes of silence as the world waited to see who would be next to grace the stage.

"I miss him and I miss the band and I miss the fans and I miss singing them songs".
