Fantastic Beasts 2 to have Dumbledore, Grindelwald's teen version

According to Entertainment Weekly, a casting call has come out for five young actors aged 16-18 to play teenage versions of Dumbledore and Grindelwald. The actors for Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger - Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Emma Watson - were all found at a young age in open casting calls. Eventually, Evanna Lynch would be cast in the role which has become somewhat iconic; memorable for the character's defiant bohemian individuality.

A teenager between the ages of 16 and 18 is wanted to play the younger version of the future headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - with a slightly older version to be played by Jude Law in the upcoming second movie.

Young actors auditioning are not expected to have a huge amount of experience.

So this reveals a few things.

Leta Lestrange, played by Zoe Kravitz, appeared only briefly in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them in a photo.

Know of any young actors who'd love the chance to star in Fantastic Beasts?

It's not surprising that the two are in the flashbacks together since they share quite a history. Seeing Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) throwing himself in pursuit of magical creatures was in itself already very cool.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them 2 will be released in November 2018. The follow-up to the Harry Potter prequel will take place in Paris and will feature returning cast members Katherine Waterston as Tina, Alison Sudol as Queenie and Dan Fogler as Jacob. In fact, it's likely that there's more than friendship between the two since J.K. Rowling revealed that Albus Dumbledore was gay, and hinted that he may have had romantic feelings that blinded him for a time to the dark intentions Grindelwald had for the future. The film is directed by David Yates who has been at the helm of every movie in the Harry Potter world since Harry Potter 5.

It looks like the Fantastic Beasts franchise is going to do a bit of a deep dive into the teenaged lives of its protagonists. Sebastian is a new character we don't know anything about.
