Some heartless crook chose to deface the front gate of Bron's $20 million home in Los Angeles on May 31, one day before the Cavs play the Golden Warriors in the start of the 2017 NBA Finals.

An official with the LAPD confirms to ET that the N-word was spray-painted across the gate of James' private home on Wednesday morning.

James was not at the 9,440-square-foot home at the time of the incident, according to TMZ.

James is now in Northern California, where his reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing to take on the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.

Investigators with the Los Angeles Police Department are looking for surveillance footage from neighbors.
