Ariana Grande fans who survived terror attack 'really emotional' at benefit

Grande closed the show with a soaring rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", from the classic 1939 film, "The Wizard of Oz".

Will I Am took the opportunity to praise the efforts of emergency services and the courageous people of London and Manchester.

Grande described how she changed her plans for the show after the mother of bombing victim Olivia Campbell had revealed the 15-year-old "would have wanted to hear the hits".

"As a human, we should always be who we say are and I think Ariana has proved that", Cyrus said. "Ladies and gentleman, Ariana Grande!" he concluded.

Grande shouted "Manchester we love you" before Black Eyed Peas' said: "Manchester, London, we are here together and we are one". Hatred will never win. "When I saw you guys all rallying together last week, it was a sight to behold".

British singer Marcus Mumford kicked off the show and held a moment of silence before performing.

Mumford urged the crowd to "not be afraid".

"Manchester we're strong. we're still singing our song", he sang with the audience of 60,000. The venue has a capacity of a staggering 50,000 people.

He followed the powerful tribute with one of his most popular songs, his 1997 smash Angels.

Other stars who took to the stage included Pharrell Williams, who was joined by Cyrus for his track Happy.

The evening was punctuated by emotional performances, including sets by Robbie Williams and Liam Gallagher.

He revealed that Ariana had called him last week and told him "if we do nothing, I can't live with that, we must do something". That was the message plastered across big screens at start of the concert.

The concert will also air at 2 p.m. ET on Freeform.

"After the events last night in London, and those in Manchester just two weeks ago, we feel a sense of responsibility to honor those lost, injured, and affected".

Seven people were killed and 48 were injured in that attack.

ARIANA Grande's One Love Manchester concert running order has been confirmed.

Grande appeared on stage at the Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground in an an oversized white One Love Manchester sweatshirt and seemed overcome by emotion throughout the night.

The May 22 attack at Grande's Manchester concert killed 22 and wounded dozens more.

Grande shared an image of her visit to Royal Manchester Children's Hospital with her 107 million Instagram followers. "She was very traumatized after the attack but it was very important to her to support the victims and show a level of defiance that stands up to this bloodlust and tells the terrorists that they are not going to stop us", he told Billboard magazine. "Would you agree that love always wins?"
