Toronto Raptors even series 2-2 against Milwaukee Bucks

The landscape is ever-changing and a team's mindset must reflect that from game to game.

The Milwaukee Bucks are 39-47-0 ATS overall, 20-23-0 at home and 19-24-0 away. The last two times it happened, Toronto responded with winning streaks of six and four games, respectively.

The teams meet again on Saturday back in Milwaukee.

The visiting Raptors pulled level with Milwaukee at 2-2 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series, which continues tomorrow in Toronto. It was a harsh, but perhaps necessary playoff lesson for Milwaukee.

The Bucks held the Raptors to just 33% from the field and 27% from beyond the arc, while shooting over 52% from inside and in rainbow country in a dominant show of force on both ends of the floor.

Toronto Raptors guard Kyle Lowry (7) during a break in the action against the Milwaukee Bucks in game one of the first round of the 2017 NBA Playoffs at Air Canada Centre.

Casey said the Bucks will hold no surprises Monday.

It seems hard to believe that a player as talented and dominant as Giannis Antetokounmpo can go through an entire half of an National Basketball Association playoff game with no field goals and only two measly points.

Other than their youth, the Bucks had no excuse for being unprepared. Lowry has been in a slump in the first round of the playoffs in the last three postseasons, and this season appears to be no different.

The little dumpoffs once the Raptors got into the Bucks paint that paid dividends in Game 2 were swallowed up by the swarming Bucks who seemed to be everywhere on this night. "I think, by doing that, we're going to have a chance to be in the game". Despite that performance, Milwaukee coach Jason Kidd expects Toronto to bounce back.

DeRozan talked about the embarrassment of Game 3 for the Raptors as a team and himself personally.

They just had no answer for the Bucks defensive prowess. Rather, they have proven through eight quarters that they are every bit as good as the higher-seeded Raptors, if not better.

Gasol "told me he was going to get it and go to his fadeaway, and that's what he did", Randolph said.

"We've got to be ready for that". They had some leads, we came back.

Powell's insertion made a difference in Game 4, with DeRozan saying having an extra ball handler on the court helped him find space. "There was no aspect of our game that we executed whatsoever". We've got to hit first.

"What I normally do is be aggressive, be physical and make it hard ... on the defensive end", Powell said.

Toronto's star guards produced in the clutch, while the defense threw up roadblocks to a Bucks team that ran all over them on Thursday night.

This one was reminiscent of those beatdowns the Raptors suffered a year ago in the conference final any time they went to Cleveland. It wasn't a high-scoring game.

The frustration became obvious for Toronto late in the half. For the game, he was 6-for-19 with seven turnovers.

"It only counts for one in the win column", Kidd said. "He could see that guys weren't making shots, so he thought he could do it". He's a great player. In this situation our backs are against the wall and the only people who can take care of it is us.

Antetokounmpo was by no means the only offender. Lowry saw a drop-off in production as he averaged 12.3 points per game, 5.5 rebounds per game, 4.8 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game on 31.6 percent shooting from the field. "We have to understand how to approach it the right way".
