Spurs vs. Rockets in Western Conference finals begins Sunday

You know, it's tough, especially the way we lost at home for Game 6.

The final inspired line: 34 points on 16 of 26 shooting to go with 12 rebounds.

In the next round, Aldridge dropping 20 or more points won't be a luxury; it'll be a necessity.

Last night, May 11, was a no good, terrible, rotten night if you're a Houston Rockets fan.

Jonathon Simmons added 18 points in place of Leonard, while Patty Mills chipped in 14 points and seven assists.

This was a truly dominant showing on all fronts. The guard went 2-11 from the floor and finished with seven turnovers.

He drove for a layup before inexplicably throwing the ball into a sea of San Antonio Spurs. The Rockets' 75 points were second-lowest in a game during the Harden era.

The Spurs were surgical against the Rockets. "We have a lot of improvement to do with the team that we have right now, and so take some time off and get ready (for) camp next season".

San Antonio really didn't do anything wrong, but it's an encouraging sign that they were able to dominate the Rockets so thoroughly without Kawhi Leonard on the floor. "They stayed with a big lineup, and it gave us problems". The first two both came against Chicago in the first round. Pau Gasol paired 10 points with 11 boards for San Antonio, which trailed 5-4 in the first quarter before rolling to victory. Harden - the engine of this high-powered machine - was non-existent. At halftime, he had five points on two field goal attempts. Game 1 is critical.

"And again, I feel so sorry for him because he's had an unbelievable [season]".

Aside from Smith's invasion-of-the-body-snatchers' theory, if his belief that someone drugged Harden was correct, it seems awfully conspicuous that the Rockets star was later seen at a nightclub in Houston partying the night away. "I thought it was important to keep spirits high because we were still very much in the game at that point".

Besides, the Spurs just reminded everyone that they are never to be discounted, even if their best player isn't suited up.

Green made a go-ahead 3-pointer and converted a three-point play to make it 109-107 Spurs with 30.1 seconds left.

The Spurs opened the third quarter with an 8-1 run, with six points from Aldridge, to extend their already big lead to 69-43 with about 9 1/2 minutes left. A miss-or-make league.

John Wall had 21 for the Wizards, who haven't won a playoff game in Boston since 1982. Truly, this was the finest manifestation of the famous Spurs system. San Antonio compiled a 60-37 rebounding edge and limited Houston to 28.6 percent shooting. But that's just not his game, and you could tell he wasn't quite comfortable stepping out from his role as a hustle-energy-lob guy.

Only Harden knows how this happened, how his special season could end with such a shameful goodbye.

Much attention is being paid to Harden's awful elimination game, and rightly so.

Why did Harden play so poorly?

After the crushing ending, that might not even be enough time. Was Harden hurt? Did he suffer a concussion at the end of Game 5? All in all, San Antonio was just ruthlessly efficient. I can save his legs a little bit and have more confidence [in other ball handlers].
