Kyle Lowry says he's 'doubtful' for Sunday

Maybe the power of Drake can help lift the Toronto Raptors up over the Cleveland Cavaliers in game three of their National Basketball Association playoff series. No team in National Basketball Association history has successfully rallied from such a deficit. Instead, the series has resembled little more than a booze cruise for LeBron James.

But the real separator between the Cavs and the Raps.

They say that a playoff series doesn't truly start until a team loses a game at home, but whoever said that clearly didn't see the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the Toronto Raptors. Stephen Curry is leading the way with 22.5 points per game. But in the next game following those five, DeRozan had averaged 32.7 points.

The Raptors missed their first 12 3-point shots, and in the process missed a chance to take advantage of the Cavs going through a bit of an offensive malaise in the middle of the game.

That's three losses by a total of 54 points. "He's going to guard him throughout the course of the game and the course of the series, but you have the responsibility, '" Lue said.

At the trade deadline, the Raptors seemed to add the kind of pieces that would make them playoff tough. Both are known as defenders. At a certain point, whether it was when he bombed threes easily, or hit a left-handed push shot, or ran the break at lightning-fast speed, there is no answer.

But a void existed. The all-star point guard said it's "doubtful" he'll play Sunday.

In game 3 the Toronto Raptors kept it close until the fourth quarter.

He stayed true to form as he shot 12 of 23 from the field and 13 of 13 from the free-throw line. I thought we played well for three quarters (Friday) night. DeRozan scored 15 points in the third quarter, but when the period ended, the Cavs were back on top, 79-77, behind a spurt of 3-point shots by Korver. Yet the Rockets led 21-19 entering the second quarter.

The Raptors managed to score only three points in the first six and a half minutes of the final period, allowing the Cavaliers to pull away. That's 11.1%. That's terrible.

Toronto fans moped to the exits early as their team was outscored 36-17 in the final stanza.

"We don't need to be thinking about a sweep or getting rest, we need to be thinking about what we need to do to execute defensively and offensively coming into Sunday", James said.

"We were not giving up but they were better than us", Valanciunas said. "That's how we go".

"I don't think the officials saw that part of it", Casey said of Thompson's shove. The Raptors' superstar shooting guard was in attack mode all night. And in response, for three quarters, the Raptors competed like hell. Some of it is on president Masai Ujiri and general mangaer Jeff Weltman.

Raptors coach Dwane Casey said his players should use James's behaviour as motivation. The flaws are now more than evident. On Sunday the Raptors face elimination and a humiliating end to their season. If there's any hope for the Toronto, however, it's that team were in the same position in last season's playoffs before securing two wins in Toronto to equalize the series.

The Raptors trail the series 3-0.

The Cavs continued to double-team DeRozan, just as they did in the first two games.
