Joshua KO's Klitschko for heavy title

In front of 90,000 fans at the sold-out Wembley Stadium in London, the 27-year-old Joshua knocked out the former longtime world champ in the 11th round, following an epic slug fest that shaped up to be the biggest heavyweight fight since Lennox Lewis knocked out Mike Tyson in 2002.

However, lying in wait asfuture opponents are for champion, Tyson Fury and the holder of the WBC heavyweight belt Deontay Wilder.

Joshua put Klitschko down in the fifth round before the first knockdown of his career began his own fight for survival.

"It's more likely to be at [the Principality Stadium] if it's in the United Kingdom, or it might take us to a new territory".

The Ukrainian had also been sent crashing to the floor in the fifth round as the 27-year-old British fighter took his flawless record to 19 stoppage wins in 19 fights.

Anthony became very good at the sport of boxing very quickly, and had won all 18 fights at amateur level during his early 20s.

After thanking his trainers, Joshua was all class in turning his attention to his opponent.

Then, in Round 6, Klitschko landed a picture-perfect one-two combination that dropped Joshua for the first time in his career and, in a complete reversal from the previous round, it was Joshua who was now in survival mode.

"I never duck a challenge, so if you want ever want to see me fight Tyson Fury, I'm not going anywhere". Joshua said while still in the ring. I didn't go into a 12-round slug-fest and struggle to beat Klitschko.

"It was a great fight from both sides", Bonte said. Klitschko, in his 29th world title fight, seemed to be taking the advantage in the later rounds until the vicious uppercut sent him spinning across the ring. I'm learning under the bright lights. I wish I would [have] raised my hand instead of being someone that didn't make it and win the titles back. "I'm not 41" - referring to Klitschko's age. "I definitely gained, even if the result was not on my side".

"I'm a little bit emotional, because I know I've got doubters. But I dig deep".

"I'm only going to improve", said Joshua, whose quick path to success had been questioned by some outside his camp.

There were no excuses and no tantrums from Klitschko.

It was a thrilling contest which saw both combatants clamber off the canvas seemingly on the verge of defeat and looks destined to be recalled as one of the great heavyweight title fights.

"The best man won tonight".

Our favourite couple in sports - NAY, IN LIFE - is Wladimir "Dr Steelhammer" Klitschko and star of "Remember the Titans" and "Bring It On: All Or Nothing" Hayden Panetetiere, or as they are known only to their best friends, Klitpant. "But all the respect to Anthony, congratulations", he said. Right now I will not announce anything. I wish I could have raised my hands, but congrats to him.
