Samsung Galaxy S8 owners complain of red display issue

Some customers who preordered the Galaxy S8 have written via online communities that their new phones have a reddish screen that did not improve even after adjusting the red color to the lowest setting. Likewise, it's now unclear what sort of Samsung-exclusive features are in development for Google Play Music users in the future, though more details on the matter will hopefully be available shortly.

As for the rest of the rumored specifications, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is believed to come in a 6.32-inch display size with an active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED) dual-edge curved screen. Moreover, the translated information indicates that the new software update also brings enhancements to the systems of the facial recognition feature on the Samsung GalaxyS8+.

Furthermore, Galaxy S8 owners will get some exclusive benefits to using Google Play Music. This was probably done in an effort to help reduce power consumption, and most users won't notice the difference in resolution.

"If needed, users can manually adjust the colour range of the display to change the appearance of white tones, through "Settings - Display - Screen Mode - Colour balance". It is not clear how many of these phones were the S8 and how many were the S8 Plus, but some affected users contacted the company for a solution. That potentially opens up a whole new audience to Play Music, which is competing with Spotify, Apple Music and Google's own YouTube to name a few. However, it's a 750p panel in a time of 1080p or 2K screens on every other flagship.

As expected, Best Buy's new Galaxy S8 deal doesn't cover T-Mobile. This will launch later in the spring alongside Bixby Voice. Both the sensors also have a support for Optical Image Stabilization. This allows you to open and dismiss the notification shade with a vertical swipe in either direction along the fingerprint sensor.
