Samsung Galaxy S8 Demand Exceeding Galaxy S7's, Confirms Company

Samsung today released a press statement that says Bixby Voice will be available in the United States later this spring. "Bixby Voice will be available in U.S. English later this spring, and will expand to more languages globally over time". The same report also stated that Bixby's most widely advertised feature, voice control, would not immediately be available.

Samsung even designated a button on the side of the S8 to access the virtual assistant, allowing users to fire up Bixby the way they would a walkie-talkie. The company also said that it has experienced "double-digit growth" (10 percent and more) in preorder numbers for the Galaxy S8 compared to previous year for the two weeks that the pre-orders have been live. The South-Korean tech giant further revealed that more consumers are opting to choose the larger screen variant, i.e. Galaxy S8 Plus. Yes, nobody wants a half-baked assistant to ruin the overall experience, but we at least expected a working version during the rollout.

Will Bixby launch later in spring or will it arrive sooner? For now, you will be able to make use of features such as Bixby Vision, Bixby Home, and Bixby Reminder.

Following the recent unveiling and a release date later his month, UK's Truly Exquisite has announced limited edition gold and platinum versions of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone. Latest news says that Bixby will extend few of its functionality and also supports multiple languages in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Bixby Voice's delay is surely frustrating but it's not all that surprising.

The local news outlets from Korea have reported that Samsung received as much as 550,000 orders for the S8 within two days.
