Microsoft announces Cortana for the Raspberry Pi

As it stands right now, the Night Light mode will activate and turn off for the times specified for the user but only as long as the Windows 10 computer stays on.

With the Windows 10 Creators Update, the intelligent personal assistant Cortana will let users set up using just their voice. Cortana will guide you throughout the set-up process.

Microsoft said earlier this week that the Windows 10 Creators Update would respect privacy decisions made in previous versions of the operating system. Although since the new process has been created to be very user-friendly, it is being imagined that most users will use the voice recognition process only. They say it's for users of assistive technologies, but if you look at the fine print, they've defined assistive technologies in such a broad-sweeping manner that even using keyboard shortcuts to get things done faster is considered an assistive technology.

You can try out the latest version of Windows 10 IoT Core by downloading the Windows 10 IoT Core Dashboard to a Windows PC, and following these instructions to update your board. Regarding smartphones, it might not be successful as Android, but in other genres, like laptops, Desktop and voice assistant (Cortana), Microsoft is still a major brand. So basically it means you can get your files, contacts, and photos, on any Microsoft device.

The first post-Creators Update beta is here, too. From the settings, you can also enable "Hey Cortana".

However, this new build does mark the start of the Windows Insider Program for Business ("WIP4Biz") first announced back in February. Until this past week, much of it has been based on educated guesses and traffic analysis, with Microsoft deigning to provided specifics.

Cortana requires speakers and microphones, and the Creators Update supports only Logitech's S150 USB speakers, while the microphone options include the Sound Tech CM-1000USB Table Top Conference Meeting Microphone, Blue Microphones' Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone/Cardioid, and Microsoft's LifeCam HD 3000.

The new Windows Security Center has been linked to Office 365 Advanced Threat Protection to allow IT admins to monitor threats across endpoints.
