Browns have zeroed in on choice with No. 1 draft pick

It could be that the Browns havent received the offers they were hoping in exchange for Brock.

Said Brown: "We don't comment on all the rumors". As of right now, Cleveland has Brock Osweiler, Kevin Hogan and Cody Kessler under contract at quarterback. With the sixth pick, the Browns are believed to want Trubisky. "We prepare a lot. Yes, but are we planning on it or is that the plan? No". I fully expect quite a few trades as their chess match unfolds, but here is my six round (they don't have a seventh), Browns draft to give you a little insight on what they might do. The losing - and criticism about his play - took a toll. While the Browns are expected to pick Myles Garrett first overall and NOT trade away their first round pick like last season (which ended up going to the Eagles, taking Carson Wentz), they can pick a quarterback later down the ladder, which would surely mean Osweiler is about to get dumped. Though it still stands, the Cleveland Browns are on the clock, and time is going by a lot faster than they think.

Will one of those players be presumptive top pick Myles Garrett, the havoc-wreaking pass rusher out of Texas A&M? A year ago in 2016 they selected Cody Kessler in the third round.

BEREA, Ohio-In reflecting on Sashi Brown's pre draft press conference on Wednesday, there were a couple of nuggets to come out of it that might shed light on the team's thinking. Another draft possibility is quarterback Mitch Trubisky of North Carolina.

On Wednesday, Browns vice president of player personnel Andrew Berry acknowledged what many draft experts have said about this year's class of defensive backs. "Most often, you stay put", Brown said. Every team misses. So we don't want to get into a habit of turning two picks into one, so to speak.

Brown said he was "impressed" by Trubisky, whom he described as "a positive young man, bright, very competitive" and has a "lunchbox, blue-collar mentality to the position". "We were impressed by him". The Jets have also reportedly held private workouts with all four of the top quarterback prospects - Trubisky, Clemson's Deshaun Watson, Notre Dame's DeShone Kizer and Texas Tech's Patrick Mahomes, but are reportedly "tantalized" by Trubisky. That's not much for a team that needs help at quarterback, wide receiver, and defensive back.

It's the season of misinformation and misrepresentation while teams try to figure out where they need to maneuver on the draft board to find their favorite targets.

Like all moves down, it will depend on the players on the board and it's hard to project what prospects would be available at No. 10 overall.
